building process.

I’ll work with you to craft the perfect build-out for your truck. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to complete the whole process:

1. Initial meeting or phone call to discuss your build, what type of wood and finish you want, pick out hardware, and get initial measurements to be able to order materials.

2. Once your design is finalized and I have all materials, I will need your truck for 1-2 days to get more detailed measurements and start to construct the main drawer. If you need your truck at this time you can grab it for a few days.

3. I will need your truck again to frame in side storage/cabinets (4-6 days).

4. Once everything is framed in, I won’t need your truck again until final assembly. Staining and clear coat takes 4-7 days.

5. Final Assembly (1 day)- Now it’s time to pick up your dream build and get to adventuring.

Why a KTC Truck Build?

Unlike pre-fabricated drawer set-ups, I strive to make my builds of the same quality as furniture you’d want in your house, and I want to make a build that you can’t wait to get in and use. They’re made to be sturdy, functional, beautiful, and unique. From photography, to fishing, to climbing, each build is designed for whatever adventure excites you the most.

What region do you serve?

My shop is in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. If you’re from out of town get in contact with me and we can work something out.

Do you need my truck to construct a build, or do you make kits?

My designs are fully custom to perfectly fit in the back of your truck, so currently I’m not doing kits. If you’re from out of town we can schedule to have your build finished by a certain date while you vacation in Montana or work remotely. I’ll even share some great camping and hiking spots for when you’re here.

Can your builds be transferred to another truck?

As long as the bed length is the same, in most cases it should be able to transfer to another truck if you get a new vehicle. For a fee, I can install your build in your next vehicle for an exact fit.

Do I need your vehicle the whole 2-3 weeks?

I prefer to have your truck for the duration of the building process, however, there are certain times during construction you can pick up your truck. I will need your vehicle for initial measurements to get started, for framing in side storage, then for final installation. In total I will need it for 8-10 days.

How much does a build cost?

Since builds are custom the price varies, however, I have a base-line price for my ‘classic build’. The ‘classic build’ starts at $3,500, and also includes a custom fit memory foam mattress and a 5 gallon heavy duty water jug. Send me an email or DM on Instagram and we can discuss pricing further.

What makes and models of truck do you work on?

Since my builds are custom, I can work with any make and model.

Do you do van conversions?

At this time I am not doing van builds or conversions.
